1. Introduction

Welcome to Devbhumi Tour and Travels ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services for Chardham, Do Dham, Gangotri, and Yamunotri pilgrimage tours.

By booking a tour with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

These terms apply to all bookings made through our website, over the phone, via email, or through any authorized agent.

2. Bookings & Payments

2.1 Booking Process

  • All bookings are subject to availability
  • You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking
  • Accurate passenger details must be provided at time of booking

2.2 Payment Terms

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking
  • Full payment must be made at least 30 days before departure
  • For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required immediately

2.3 Pricing

  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹)
  • Prices are subject to change due to government taxes, fuel surcharges, or currency fluctuations
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time
Note: Failure to make payments by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking with applicable cancellation fees.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

3.1 Customer Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Refunds will be processed as follows:

Cancellation Period Refund Amount
More than 30 days before departure 75% of total amount (minus deposit)
15-30 days before departure 50% of total amount
7-14 days before departure 25% of total amount
Less than 7 days before departure No refund

3.2 Tour Operator Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel tours due to:

  • Insufficient bookings
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest, etc.)
  • Adverse weather conditions in Himalayan regions
  • Road closures or other circumstances beyond our control

In such cases, we will offer alternative dates or a full refund.

4. Travel Documents

  • Customers are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents
  • Valid government-issued photo ID is required for all travelers
  • Medical certificates may be required for high-altitude destinations
  • For foreign nationals, necessary permits for restricted areas are required
Important: We are not responsible if you are denied entry to any destination due to improper documentation.

5. Health & Safety

5.1 Health Requirements

  • Our tours involve high-altitude travel (up to 3,500 meters) which may not be suitable for everyone
  • Consult your physician before booking if you have heart conditions, respiratory issues, or other health concerns
  • Inform us of any medical conditions or special requirements at time of booking
  • Carry necessary medications with you

5.2 Safety

  • Follow all safety instructions provided by our guides
  • We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone deemed unfit for the tour
  • Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking is strongly recommended
  • Helicopter services (where applicable) are subject to weather conditions

6. Customer Conduct

We expect all customers to:

  • Respect local customs and religious traditions at pilgrimage sites
  • Follow instructions from tour guides regarding safety protocols
  • Not consume alcohol or illegal substances during the pilgrimage
  • Not damage property or the fragile Himalayan environment
  • Maintain appropriate dress code at religious sites

We reserve the right to terminate your tour without refund if your behavior is deemed unacceptable, illegal, or poses a risk to others.

7. Liability

7.1 Our Responsibility

  • We take reasonable care in arranging tours but cannot be held liable for:
    • Acts of God, natural disasters, or weather conditions in Himalayan region
    • Government actions, strikes, or civil unrest
    • Transportation delays due to landslides or road conditions
    • Loss or damage to personal belongings
    • Altitude sickness or other health issues

7.2 Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for:
    • Their own actions and safety during the tour
    • Any damage they cause to property or environment
    • Complying with all local laws and regulations
    • Being physically prepared for high-altitude travel

8. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time
  • The latest version will always be available on our website
  • Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
